Miami State High School is a small, caring school located on Queensland’s Gold Coast in the suburb of Miami, approximately 100 kilometres south of Brisbane. Miami High has an enrolment of just over 1000 students. At Miami, we believe that students learn best in a small school environment where caring and professional staff deliver a personal education. We value cultural understanding, tolerance and inclusion through global learning experiences. In an increasingly global community, it is important for young people to develop an enhanced understanding of other cultures.
The diversity of students attending Miami High is testament to the popularity of our programs and our caring and friendly learning environment. International students complete a comprehensive orientation program focused on the local community and culture. This, in conjunction with our international mentoring program, assists new students to feel welcomed and part of our school community.
